About Us

Junior and senior students from Cinco Ranch High School, Jordan High School, Katy High School, Mayde Creek High School, Morton Ranch High School, Paetow High School, Raines High School, Seven Lakes High School, Taylor High School, and Tompkins High School have the opportunity to take specialized career and technology programs as well as core classes for half a day at MCTC while continuing to attend their home high school campus the rest of the school day.​

Mission Statement

At Miller Career & Technology Center, our mission is to develop college-and career-ready students through engaging, real-world experiences. We not only want to grow skilled students, but also students of character. Our campus is rooted in the core values of empowerment, professionalism, integrity, commitment, and curiosity.

History

Miller Career & Technology Center was originally named Arthur Miller Career Center in honor of the life-long contributions Arthur Oliver Miller made to the Katy schools and community. Miller operated several businesses, including the only car dealership in Katy at the time. He demonstrated a sense of civic responsibility through the many offices he held over the years: In 1946, he was part of the first governing body of Katy, serving dually as city secretary and treasurer, then as mayor for sixteen years, and was elected a municipal judge in 1979, serving for ten years. He supported Katy schools by donating trucks to the Katy High School FFA agriculture teachers and routinely found good deals on appliances for the high school homemaking teachers, among many untold acts of generosity.  A.O. Miller was a dedicated contributor to and supporter of Katy, and MCTC is proud to bear his name.
